Welcome to the Greater Sudbury Dressage Association!

We are the Sudbury & Area chapter of Cadora Inc. Our membership is comprised of local Dressage enthusiasts, dedicated to promoting the sport of Dressage and increasing awareness of the principles of classical dressage training and its benefits to horse and rider. Our goal is to work with the local equestrian community in fostering new learning opportunities for equestrians, regardless of their chosen discipline or riding goals.

This is a Foothills Farm event. Come and ride a test in a casual atmosphere and have a great social time! Pre-registration is not required.

GSDA Riders and Horses Represented at the Trillium Championships

Six horses and 5 riders from the GSDA competed at the 2009 Western Trillium Dressage Championships on Saturday, September 19th at Blue Star Farm in Mount Albert. The horse/rider combinations were: Fauve Beaulieu & Lucky Lady, Melanie Keller & Scooby Doo, Danielle Couture & Lost In Hollywood, Mackenzie Rooney & AF Kal-El, Mackenzie Rooney & Dylan and Patrick Battison & AF Khalifa.  The GSDA was also represented at the 2009 Eastern Trillium Dressage Championships on Saturday, September 12th at Starlit Farm in Ottawa. The sole representative was Shannon Becvar & Commander-In-Chief.  All horse/rider combinations represented themselves and the GSDA successfully at both championships. The combined western and eastern championship placings are located here.

Congratulations to Mackenzie Rooney & Dylan who were Western Division Champions in Junior Second Level and FEI Children’s and Melanie Keller & Scooby Doo who were Western Division Junior Reserve Champions at First Level.

Another big congratulation does to Mackenzie Rooney & Dylan who were overall the 2009 Junior Trillium Dressage Champions at Second Level and FEI Children’s and Melanie Keller & Scooby-Doo who were overall the 2009 Junior Reserve Trillium Dressage Champions at First Level.

Site Help

On the left side bar you will notice new things such as Categories, Pages, Recent News, Archives, and associates.

While on the right side bar there is a Calender, Tags, Subscribe, Meta and a Search bar.

Categories is related to the posts, so if information is posted about an event, it will probably be Categorized under Event Information.

Pages is the same links that are on the above bar. Forms & Events, Competition Details, and Contact Us.

Recent News is recent posts from the Home page

Archives has all the previous posts logged for review if required.

Associates is exactly what it is, our Associates.

The Calendar is going to be getting an upgrade at a later time to show upcoming events.

Tags is designed for showing the most common “tags” which are key words that relate to posts.
for example, this post is going to have the tags: help, information, about, site which are keywords that depict this post. If you select one of the tags, it will show you all the posts that have been tagged with said word.

Subscribe is for the RSS feature. Once you are subscribed to the rss feed, you will get updates to any new posts and changes. Comments RSS does the same, except it informs you of any new comments.

Registration has our facebook group link as well as a log in for the admins to go and add new posts, and change site information. The registration is currently open, and I will be updating user permissions as people are registered.

Search will check the whole site for whatever you are looking for.
